Clarksville area anyone??
I am moving to clarksville next week to a little place and I won't know anyone, I was hoping there would be a few friendly locals that could give me advice on anything up there when I move. I moved in with a friend who turned out to not really care whether I had a place to live or not since he got a new girlfriend and so after a thousand dollars worth of my things came up stolen, I changed the locks... someone ate my food, and I don't know if anyone else has "MY" food but I don't eat their chips, colas, burgers, hot dogs, ice creams or any of that other crap so WHY DO THEY EAT MY CHICKEN, SHRIMP AND TUNA!!! WHAT THE F MAN WHAT THE F. LOL So after I made a "big" deal about my stuff being stolen and my food getting eaten I am now well was homeless and am now moving from podung to Clarksville. I was hoping to find a Y and a support group, I am moving to the madison ave area if anyone knows anything about that area. Sorry about the outburst guys... just venting

Justin,
I don't live in Clarksville, but I had my surgery there. They have a great support group at Gateway hospital. It is run by the bariatric nurse and the nutritionist. There is always an educational component to each meeting. It is usually well attended (40 or more). It is the 4th Monday of the month. I like it so much that I usually schedule my surgeon's appt's so I can attend the support group while I am in town. Here is the blurb from their web page:
Clarksville Support Group For Weight Loss Surgery provides educational and informational resources for preoperative and postoperative patients. It delivers optimum weight loss and maintenance guidance along with providing the techniques and tools to live your life. The support group meets on the fourth Monday of each month in the Liberty Room of Gateway Medical Center from 6-8 p.m. For more information contact Gateway's Bariatric Nurse Coordinator at 931-502-1465.

J, make sure we and Dr. Dyer's office have your new contact information! Clarksville's a pretty happening town - I think you'll enjoy living there. Centennial has a group in Hopkinsville which is pretty close.
Hope to see you soon!
